The Official Interview Game
I have been interviewed (officially, no less!) by Rob Merola. Why do I volunteer for this stuff? It’s a mystery, that’s for sure. Anyway, here’s the test, er… interview.
1. How did you get interested in photography?
I grew up surrounded by photographers and taking my own pictures (I had one of those flat little 110 cameras when I was a kid). My family has a long tradition of photography, and boxfuls of photos dating back to the earliest tintypes. My father, my grandfather, my great-grandfather – all of them were clicking away all the time. It’s in the blood you might say, or else the developing chemicals my Dad used for making enlargements got to me. (Which could explain a whole lot of things now that I think about it…)
2. What is the answer to the one question you really wish someone would ask you?
41.42. [sigh...]
3. Who was your favorite character on the A Team and why?
Murdock, of course. Duh! Being only marginally sane myself, I felt that I understood him in some deep and mysterious way. Plus, he always got the really fun jobs to do.
4. How did that happen?
Something happened? I didn’t see anything happen. Are you sure that you aren’t imagining things? I didn’t do it – I’m innocent, I swear!
5. What do you think is the best evidence for the existence of God or the lack thereof?
There is none. As a scientist, I am concerned with those things that can be proven by empirical testing. Neither the existence nor the non-existence of God can be proven, and are therefore of no interest to me. Like Laplace, I have no need of that hypothesis.
If you’d like to be asked embarrassing questions to post on your own blog, the rules are in the extended section below.
