It was raining lightly, and this little guy would flutter his wings to catch the rain, and rub on the plant stem to clean his feathers.  Then he’d fly around a bit sipping nectar out of the crocosmia (the red flowers), before settling down for another round of grooming.  He was out there for a good 15-20 minutes enjoying himself!  It’s too bad that my kitchen window is the only angle that I could see him from…
